iBall on Thursday launched the Windows Phone 8.1-powered Andi 4L Pulse smartphone in India at Rs. 4,999. The phone had been listed on the company site last month, and reportedly went on sale then as well, according to an established retailer.The iBall Andi 4L Pulse is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that runs Windows Phone 8.1 OS out-of-the-box. It features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) TFT display.
The Andi 4L Pulse is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC coupled with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash along with a front-facing camera (unknown pixels). The internal storage on the handset is 4GB, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
On the connectivity front, the Andi 4L Pulse includes 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and Micro-USB. The iBall Andi 4L Pulse packs a 1500mAh battery. It measures 113.61x61.00x11.23mm and weighs 96 grams.
The company says that the Andi 4L Pulse also comes with Microsoft's productivity suite of apps like Office, OneDrive, Xbox, Bing search and more, pre-installed.
The iBall Andi 4L Pulse at Rs. 4,899 is arguably the cheapest Windows Phone handset in India, following the launch of the Celkon Win 400 for Rs. 4,979 and the Lava Iris Win1 at Rs. 4,999.
Last month, the company had launched its first octa-core tablet, the iBall Slide Octa A41 at Rs. 14,999. The iBall Slide Octa A41 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 7-inch IPS full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) display with a 323ppi pixel density. It is powered by an unspecified 1.7GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. Other specifications of the tablet include an autofocus 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; a 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 16GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB), and a 3500mAh battery.
