Disable Or Enable Hibernation


Many of you know the use hibernation option, but what if you do not use this option?
Hibernation option accquire approx 3 gb memory in your harddisk, which also affects your booting process.

For Window Vista,7,8 and 8.1

Follow the given steps to disable Hibernation..

  1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
  2. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
  3. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click yes.
  4. At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate off, and then press Enter.
  5. Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.
Follow the below given steps to enable Hibernation..

  1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
  2. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
  3. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click yes.
  4. At the command prompt, type powercfg.exe /hibernate on, and then press Enter.
  5. Type exit, and then press Enter to close the Command Prompt window.

For Window XP, Follow the given steps...
  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click Power Option.
  4. Select the Hibernate tab.
  5. Uncheck Enable Hibernation box to disable
    (or check to enable).
  6. Click OK.
